STARDOM
NEWS
At STARDOM NIGHTER at KORAKUEN Apr. 2 on Thursday, a late match was added to All Star Grand Queendom as Thekla will go one-on-one with Sayaka Kurara. If Thekla wins, she will finally have her requested match with Stardom President Taro Okada. However, if Sayaka Kurara wins, she will have to join Cosmic Angels.
Also at STARDOM NIGHTER in KORAKUEN Apr. 2, Suzu Suzuki introduced the world to her new faction, Mi Vida Loca. The faction will be led by Suzuki. She’s joined by outsiders Rina Yamashita and Itsuki Aoki as well as rookie Akira Kurogane. Suzuki plans to flip all of Stardom on its head with these three by her side, beginning with her match against Mei Seira.
Stardom announced Friday morning that Suzu Suzuki vs. Mei Seira at All Star Grand Queendom 2025 will now be competed under No DQ rules. A clear advantage for Suzuki, who will look to take down her former tag team partner in the encounter.
Stardom has announced the competitors for the Stardom Rumble: Momo Watanabe, Lady C, Yuria Hime, Momo Kohgo, Akira Kurogane, Tomoka Inaba, Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO, Ruaka, Azusa Inaba, Kiyoka Kotatsu, Rian, Yuna Mizumori, Konami, Fukigen Death, and Miyu Amasaki.
Pro Wrestling WAVE has announced that Stardom’s Hazuki, Ranna Yagami, and Akira Kurogane will compete in the 2025 Catch The Wave Tournament. This will be Hazuki and Kurogane’s first time in the tournament, while Yagami competes for a second straight year.

STARDOM NIGHTER in KORAKUEN Apr. 2
Thursday, April 24th 2025
Korakuen Hall, Tokyo
Attendance: 1,096
H.A.T.E. (Konami, Momo Watanabe, Ruaka & Thekla) def. Cosmic Angels (Aya Sakura, Natsupoi, Saori Anou & Sayaka Kurara) (8:30)
Momo Kohgo def. Yuria Hime (5:53)
God's Eye (Ranna Yagami & Tomoka Inaba) def. God's Eye (Hina & Lady C) (11:38)
H.A.T.E. (Azusa Inaba, Fukigen Death & Rina) def. Akira Kurogane, Tabata & Yuna Mizumori (12:04)
STARS (Mayu Iwatani, Hazuki & Koguma) def. Hanan, Saya Iida & Syuri (14:11): Preview tags are in, and Stardom is the best at them. This was the beginning of the excitement preview-wise, as Mayu Iwatani and Syuri did their thing while the personal problems between wing*gori and FWC continued to bubble. The work between Iwatani and Syuri was again special, reminding you of the level they’re on when at the top of their game. Koguma earned the win by pinning Saya Iida, giving FWC every ounce of the momentum heading into Sunday. A preview tag well worth your time to get you hyped. (***¾)
Chihiro Hashimoto, Yuu, YUNA & Yurika Oka def. EXV (Maika, HANAKO, Rian & Waka Tsukiyama) (13:21)
Mi Vida Loca (Suzu Suzuki, Itsuki Aoki & Rina Yamashita) def. Mei Seira, Miyu Amasaki & Kohaku (9:35): Well, Suzu Suzuki got herself some help, and it’s terrifying for the remainder of Stardom. Rina Yamashita and Itsuki Aoki established themselves quickly in this match, with Yamashita being the force of nature that will be Mi Vida Loca’s scariest weapon while Suzuki tries to reign over the company. And for what it’s worth, the first and only preview work between Suzuki and Mei Seira was terrific — they should tear the house down on Sunday. (***½) As mentioned under news, Akira Kurogane asked to join Mi Vida Loca after the match, giving the faction four strong to establish themselves in the early going.
AZM & Saya Kamitani vs. Starlight Kid & Tam Nakano ended in a Time-Limit Draw (20:00): The main event put the top two matches on display. And it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the match made sure to deliver with Tam Nakano and Saya Kamitani matching up while AZM and Starlight Kid did the same. All four were on point, playing to the hot crowd and showing the world what they’ll bring to the table on Sunday. Starlight Kid isn’t 100% as shown by her shoulder, but the way she performed in this match has to give anyone confidence in what she can do against AZM with her Wonder of Stardom Championship on the line. In terms of Kamitani and Nakano, the realization that this very likely is the final preview matchup ever between them certainly hits during the bout and even more so after the fact. The match didn’t see a winner as the 20-minute time limit expired, but it accomplished exactly what it needed to. A great main event that will get you as hyped as possible for Sunday. (****)

Princess of Princess Championship: Mizuki (c) def. Miyu Yamashita (17:40): No Joshi match in Las Vegas had more history than this one. Mizuki made her first defense of the Princess of Princess Championship against longtime rival Miyu Yamashita in a match that has consistently placed among the best matches in TJPW history when they’ve squared off. And while this wasn’t to the level that some of their greatest matchups have been, it was still a fitting world title-level encounter that had to leave the fans in Vegas happy to witness in person. Mizuki endured tons of punishment in this match from Yamashita before earning the win following the combination of Whirling Candy and the Cutie Special. With Yamashita being in America over the next few months and not being as consistent in Japan nowadays, Mizuki has taken the task to lead the company moving forward. A great championship match worth checking out. (***¾)
